About
I wanted to have my own in-home since 2006. It finally came to life in 2020. KNP is licensed through DCYF for 10 children with two spaces permanently taken by my own children. KNP is a participant of Early Achievers, not yet rated. KNP accepts DSHS and Cowlitz Tribe subsidies.
KNP is located in NE Vancouver off 4th Plain between Ward and 162nd.

I am Helen Dashiell and I am the owner and operator of KNP. After my high school years of babysitting, I started as a preschool assistant in 2004. Since then I worked my way up to being a Director in childcare. Center life was no longer for me! My husband, Dave, and I have two amazing children, a school-ager and a preschooler, and a dog. I remain current in all licensing requirements--a passed background check, CPR, First Aid, Mandated Reporting, annual STARS training, Blood Borne Pathogens & Food Handlers permit. Dave has his cleared background check as well.
I have a BA in Human Services from Western Washington University.
